Who: Souda Emonzaemon and some poor soul you! Where: Within the City, Business Quarters Style: Whatever you're up for, I'll follow! Status: Open forever and ever.
[A tilt of the head. Why would anyone care about this? It's not like he killed anyone yet. But, still, he can't have problems so early in his arrival.] My apologies.
Unsure. I did not know if it would be making a move, so I applied force to deter such action.
Unerroneous. I am new to Somarium. [He crosses his arms as he wonders if he should give his name. He's already given it to others, so there can't be more damage done then.] My name is Souda Emonzaemon.
Understood. I will try. I usually shoot to kill, but with enough accuracy, it should be easy to target someone in a non-vital region. [A small, cold smile.] Let's hope I am not given the ability to test my skills for that.
...We? Are you part of the authority here, Kid-san?
[he doesn't think Emonzaemon will be too much of a dangerous fellow compared to those already in Somarium, he's making a note of him regardless.]
Yes, I am. But even if I weren't, I would still make the same request. You can imagine how many different people of different social and cultural backgrounds that coexist within this city. It's remarkable how neutral this coexistence usually is and it would be to the benefit of all if it remains that way.
That isn't to say there aren't any conflicts or grievous occurrences, but it would help keep it to a minimum.
[might be a good idea, especially if you have anyone with bird helmets here in Somarium. :|b]
Impressive. Major fighting has not yet broken out? I will not unbalance that neutrality, then. It might be...interesting to live in a land of peace after coming from one fraught with violence.
Understood. I have little to gain from petty squabbles anyway.
Not that I am aware of. [unless we count the ones brought on by the locals that one time but eh. extenuating circumstances.]
You'll find Somarium has its own perils, but it is for the most part relatively peaceful. I also thank you for your understanding, Mr. Emonzaemon. If there is anything I can do to assist you or help you better understand your situation, you are free to ask.
Undeserved. There's no need for gratitude for necessary things. [Emonzaemon pauses to think.] I've had most of my questions answered by the locals, but I have a few left. What jobs are there to do? [He might be doing some ninja-ing around Somarium, but that's not going to be able to take up all his time.] I cannot simply wait around until it is decided that I go back to my own world. I assume I will also need funds, as well.
There are a variety of local jobs that you could employ yourself at as well as a few businesses run by the other residents. I would suggest asking on the network if you wish to find a specific job, but I'm sure someone may have a suggestion. It would depend on your skills.
As for funding, you should already have some money on your account. [Kid summons his Dreamberry into his hand and holds it up.] You can access it via your Dreamberry.
All right. I'll make sure to inquire about it later.
...Uncomprehending. Account? [Emonzaemon takes out his Dreamberry from his pocket and holds it above an outstretched palm. Then he begins giving it a shake. He said money should be in it, but why isn't it coming out?
Sorry, Kid. Sengoku-era Japan does not mesh well with technology.]
[all right, how to explain this to a person who has no concept of technology whatsoever.]
It's more like a record that can be accessed. Allow me to show you. [and he'll be standing more alongside Emonzaemon and navigating through the menus to show the ninja.]
The money is stored elsewhere. The Dreamberry only acts a conduit for the transfer.
Forgive me, but I believe destroying public property is far more rude and frankly illegal.
Is there a reason why you are shooting a soda machine?

Death the Kid.
If you wish to continue to live here peacefully, then I would suggest refraining from resorting to violence. At least deathly.

Query. What am I to do if I am attacked? Peace does not necessarily entail protection.
