[Ty Lee honestly hadn't expected to see Castiel passed out on a bench. It isn't every day after all that you see anybody sleeping outside on a bench without a blanket or anything in January. But she's probably more surprised only because he had told her before that his kind didn't sleep. She didn't end up pressing him too much on the matter, but she was still surprised nonetheless. As she goes to wake him up, she almost stops because well...look at him. He's like some adorable, scruffy puppy that she wants to take home and take care of. And besides, he looks really tired.]

Cas...? You okay?

[Castiel would not approve of such descriptors if he was aware of them. He is not a puppy. He is an angel of the Lord. Seriously. That being said, he does look tired. A nap could probably do him good. And he is a little scruffy.]

[He comes to slowly at Ty Lee's voice, eyes blinking awake to share at his slacks. Then he yawns. He looks a little panicked when he looks around, trying to figure out if he's been out long. Then, he realizes Ty Lee is there, looking at him with a little concern.]

Was I asleep?

Yup. [She gives him a teasing grin when he wakes up. He looks a little disoriented.] And here I thought you said you couldn't sleep.

I was going to let you sleep longer but it isn't a good idea to be sleeping outside in the cold.

[a frown creases his mouth and his eyebrows knit together, annoyed and puzzled. He clenches his fist in frustration.]

I'm not supposed to be able to sleep. That I can....it's not a good sign. It must be something to do with this place, or some kind of curse. Maybe similar to your foggy memories.

I appreciate your concern, but I don't get cold.

Keeping a brisk pace makes it easier to tell himself that it's not really as cold as it is. Besides, he wanted some time to think, didn't he? He can do it just as easily walking on the ground as flying in the air, right?

He's just leaving another circuit of this mental justification for catching his breath on foot when he notices a slumped figure on a bench ahead. His pace slows to a quieter one, not wanting to wake up the (assumed) old guy taking a nap in the middle of nowhere. Kind of a bad place for a nap, Danny observes privately as he approaches; the breeze that's been picking up all morning is making the majestic evergreens all around them sway, threatening to dump picturesque loads of snow at their earliest convenience. Danny eyes one particularly laden branch, and tracks it's likely path to the bench below it. Then he really looks at the person sitting there for the first time, and his pace stumbles to a reluctant crawl.

What gives worse karma, he wonders distantly, Waking up a napping angel, or letting a snowdrift do it for ( ... )

At Danny's voice, Castiel slowly startles awake. He sniffs and stares at his lap in confusion, before blinking with surprise. He looks pretty disconcerted before his eyes focus on Danny. A familiar face. The ghost boy. He narrows his eyes and him and stands, glancing around with his hands in his pockets.

"Did you wake me?"

"Um--yeah." Danny lifts a hand and points, getting straight to the punchline.

"You were gonna get bombed by that tree if you kept sleeping there."

The angel looks up at offending snow-covered tree. Then he stands up and moves away from the bench, to avoid any snow-related abuse.

"Thank you," he says. "It would have been unpleasant to have that much snow dropped on me."

Castiel rumbles gently awake, groaning at the disturbance. He stares at his lap in confusion, trying to blink the sleep from his eyes. No dice. He still looks tired.

He also looks a little concerned as he wakes up more, before pulling his hands out of his pocket and staring at them, obviously trying to figure something out. It's only after this that he looks up at notices the woman looking at him.

"Was I asleep?"

If Castiel had any opinions about Peggy's gun-toting habits, he didn't show it. He seemed more focused on himself - staring at the palms and the backs of his hands, flexing and clenching them as if he's forgotten how his own body works. "No," he answered, sitting back up and setting his hands on his lap. "I slept."
