PRIVATE Harry/Draco though Mille can come over XDsonuvasnitchApril 21 2011, 03:23:54 UTC
[ Harry sits at his normal booth at the back of the speakeasy. He can watch the entire room from this position, and considering it's his job to keep an eye on this place for the mafia and other illegal activities that's what he should be doing. However something else, or rather someone, has Harry's attention entirely. ]
[he only offered a brief flick of his tongue against the seam of Harry's mouth before pulling back to his full height, glancing over his shoulder to see if anyone was staring. Draco wouldn't have cared much either way - Mille wasn't precisely subtle when it came to these sorts of things either, and the bar was already a place of debauchery for the most part.
[Satisfied that no one was gaping openly, he removed his hands from their chosen surfaces, tucking them back away into his pockets as he stared down at Harry expectantly.]
[ Harry stared up at Draco like a deer caught in the headlights. There was a look of longing in his eyes and he finally allowed himself that breath he had been holding.
[ He had no idea what to say. What were you supposed to say after something like that?
[His eyes tore away from Draco for a moment as some semblance of sanity returned and he checked, as Draco had, to see if anyone had been watching. If they had been they weren't now.
[ He looked back up to Draco his green eyes locking with his. ]
Why do you think I did that? [the retort was just as cyclical as Harry's answers had been. Besides, if Draco were asked outright if he were particularly fond of Harry, it may have been a lie to say 'yes'. Certainly, if he were really so impartial, he would have completely ignored the other man, but he was surprisingly neutral towards the entire situation.
[He merely saw something to be figured out - a puzzle, as it were - and something to be utilised for a vague gain. Not to say that he was particularly into using people; more that he liked to be liked. And he very much knew he was.]
[ Harry's face went blank as he stared at Draco. His own green eyes searched through Draco's grey as if he were looking for an answer that hadn't been spoken.
[ He stood slowly, taking one last long pull on his drink emptying the glass, and set it down on the table with an audible clink. He looks straight at Draco as he stands though his face is fairly unreadable. He pushes past Draco and heads at a normal pace for the door with his heart pounding in his ears. ]
[Draco watched Harry for a long moment before rolling his eyes and giving a barely audible huff. Honestly, if he had known it would be this much trouble and effort - thank God the place was relatively quiet and didn't much require him - he probably wouldn't have gone out of his way.
[It was easy enough to catch up to Harry, snagging his wrist after just a few metres.]
[ Harry's first reaction was to tear his wrist from Draco's grasp, which he did. Still he turned to look at Draco, and in the few steps he'd taken his face had gone from stoic to nearly panicked before hardening again. He cast a glance around to see who had noticed that little exchange and when no one seemed to be paying attention he stuck his hands in his pocket and stayed in place. ]
[there was a very long, partially awkward pause, while Draco raised one brow, then both hands in a gesture of surrender.]
Well, if you're really going to continue lying to yourself, I'm fine with that. Merely thought you'd like to have those very obvious fears of yours extinguished. I've done my part - ball's in your court. Drink's on the house, in case you wondered. [that said, he sighs in mild frustration, and turns to leave, back to his sense of normalcy and his job.]
[Draco had opened his mouth to reply, had barely glanced over his shoulder towards Harry again before he was interrupted by his own father. He would seemingly never get used to Mille's ability to appear out of nowhere, and clearly hadn't been paying quite enough attention to everything around him - he mentally chastised himself for a brief moment before turning his eyes away from the empty spot that once held Mille for that brief second.]
...wh- [he inhaled and exhaled once, only briefly nudging his hand to loose himself from Harry's grip.] What do you mean wait? Am I to suppose that you've magically changed your mind in but a few moments? [towards the end of the statement - less the bite it may have once held - his glance darted in the direction Mille left, wondering just what other advice might have been added.]
[ Harry didn't have to guess. Mille seemed to do quite a lot on the floor so really that range of what not to do was rather small. Harry let Draco's wrist slide from grip till it reached his hand. It lingered there for a few seconds before the motion continued and Harry was no longer holding Draco.
What would Mille do?
Well that answer was obviously but he wasn't about to grab Draco's ass in the middle of the speakeasy. ]
We need to talk [ There was a brief pause. ] In private.
You're damn right about that. [he turned on his heel again, this time gesturing for Harry to follow him. There was a beautiful thing known as an office, which would allow the pair of them not only privacy, but also would allow Draco the opportunity to distract himself with the paperwork he knew needed to be done. He was on the verge of wanting to tear his hair out, honestly, and any distraction would be welcome.]
[ Harry followed close behind though more than once he nearly turned tail and bolted for the door. He must have been out of his bloody mind. Draco was a bloke, no doubt about that. Up until a few moments ago he'd been under the impression that Draco was at least happily dating Mille one of the most beautiful woman Harry had ever seen. Now he was following the blond to his office where who knew what would happen, but then they were just going to talk, and that was all.
[ Not that that was all Harry wanted. He had been watching Draco for months now and though he wasn't ready to admit it he had become obsessed with the blond before him. He wanted more than just to talk though what all if was he did not know yet. ]

Wait.
[ The voice is hard, not a bit pleading though he clearly doesn't want Draco to just leave. ]
