So for the last 9 months or so, my research has focused on several models of the cochlea, but one in particular. I've very recently noticed that my results differ slightly from those in the published paper. Is that a big deal? mid-summer update
Things are pretty quiet in Southampton at the moment, but life has been treating me well.

1) was licked by a cow
2) was flanked by cows and forced to retreat for fear of being trampled
3) had the living daylights scared out of me on two separate occasions by pheasants taking off near me
4) shot a deer at least 20 times (unfortunately, some of the results were un-sharp and had to be discarded)

Bush welcomes Hu Jintao
I'm watching the welcoming speeches of Bush and Hu Jintao (in DC) live from Taiwan right now. Everything that has been said so far by both parties has been consistent with what you would expect to hear; Bush affirmed the US position of "One China" and Hu Jintao has stood by the official Chinese position that they will accept no interference ( Read more... ) -
