I'd like to offer my opinion.

I have many opinions on practically any subject. I'd be happy to offer one or all of them to you, my faithful readers. Keep in mind that I need not be expert in a specific subject area to offer my opinion to you. If you have questions about quantum physics, animal husbandry or feminine hygiene products, I'm your man.

Hypothetical one here.

You are playing Pot limit Omaha Hi/Lo.

You are big blind with 9h 8d Th 9d.

4-players call around to you. Flop comes 8h 6h 7h.

Dream flop. Straight flush but with no low. Please let some one have an Ace high flush.

You check and the next person bets. You get one more caller. You call.

Turn comes a Kd. No help to anyone. You check. The next player leads out and the other calls. You call.

River comes a 5d. The board shows 3 hearts 2 diamonds. No full houses.

Pot is at $13. Half of the pot is yours no matter what, with the nut straight flush.

Do you check again? Bet half the Pot? Bet pot limit?

Well, let me remind you that hold 'em is my game, but I do know the rules of Omaha ( ... )

I bet the pot hoping they both had a nut low and thought the other was going high.

The next guy folded. The other called with the nut low.

So, more than likely no one had the Ace high flush.

I probably would have been better off checking and hoping the next guy would bet. Then I could reraise if both are in the pot.

You are right that a weak low might fold to a huge bet, which was probably what happened anyway.

One of the players in was a strong player, so I knew he wasn't chasing. I put him on the low and he had the nut low. The other guy was the chaser, and I scared him out. He may have been stupid enough to bet half the pot to chase me out.

Do you sweat the petty things or pet the sweaty things?

inquiring minds need to know.

1. What is your personal super power?
2. Your kryptonite?
3. Why, after all this lapse in time, am I friended again? Not that I mind! I've missed your funny entries!

1) I have so many that it would be impossible to list them here. I'll pick one at random. Modesty.

2) I was going to say beautiful women, but...well...yeah...that's what I'll say.

3) Who can say why I do anything? I didn't plan on doing anything with this journal anymore. However, I've changed my mind for the time being. I saw your name in a old comment and thought "Hey, she was fun." so I added you again.

If you're no longer fun, then please admit it so I can move along. ;)

I'm so much fun I don't think you could handle it! ;-) I don't really do much with my journal either...just the random entry every now and then.

Just came across your journal through a friend. Got a great laugh from most of the stuff you have jotted down here..

I added you.

Also, was I the only fucking person in the world who called it "Lick-a-Maid"?

I don't think you were the only person in the world. If I recall correctly, the stick used to eat the fun dip was called the "lick 'em aid" or something like that.

Or course, your way is a bit more suggestive.

I don't post that much, so I hope you're not disappointed.

Ahhh... that would make slight sense. I wonder. It's possible I saw that once and then just continued to call it "Lick-em/a-aid/maid".

Bygones. :)

You don't post much, and my posts (occasional as they are) will be of little or no interest. So we're even.
