XD I admit I still don't fully understand how the concept relates to the story, (or even what it really means. *sucks at esoteric philosophy*), but the imagery was haunting and some of the scenes very cute. Nice prose as well. I like ^__^
In Kishimoto's world, fate is a character in it's own right, and I love your take on it. (Also, Sakura talking with Naruto about ramen &Kage Bunshins is lurve).
I must say I don't understand this whole concept of Inen Seigi properly, but it does seem like an interesting concept, and I think it must have taken you quite some effort to produce a fic from that. Quite commendable. <3
It's a beautiful fic, and I love all the team dynamics in it. The Team 10 love makes me feel all warm inside, and the Team 7 love too, except the latter also makes me feel cold. The last part of the fic makes my heart ache, because I always love it when people say that Sasuke is not here. Every fic that uses it breaks my heart and gets love from me. And there are not that many fics which use that, actually.
I adore the stars metaphors you used. They're really pretty. These lines, in particular, are awesome:
How far away those stars were. Their ancient light has probably heard this story many times before. “That for some people, if there’s no en

Thank you! I'm getting so many confused comments, I think I may have bit off way more than I could chew when I tackled engi. If you want a little more info, there’s this wiki site (lol, how reliable…) Aw well... at least I tried? XD
But really, I’m glad you enjoyed. Team 10 IS love. This is what I know with all my heart and soul after reading the recent Asuma arc. And team 7… you got it so poignantly right in your review. They just have this dynamic… this unique and gorgeous duality that’s equal parts squeeishly cute and absolutely heartbreaking all at once. T_T
It's a very beautiful fic. I love the Obito-spectre and Kakashi's section in general. And I really really really want to try and understand inen seigi but it's a little hard. So there are direct causes, and indirect ones... and both have to be on your side for things to work out for you? Ack, I might just look this up on wiki or something (that stupid site is taking over everything... but its so easy to research on it even though you shouldn't believe everything.. but then what other resource can you use that is guaranteed to be correct?) Anyway, really intriguing topic/concept. I hope you write more fics, I'm sure they'd be as poignant and unique and interesting as this one was. :)
lol... I know... I first heard about the concept from a friend of mine, who had been taking an anthropology course. She said it was a theory from Buddhist metaphysics on causation. I saw it again in Tramps like Us/Kimi wa Pet and was intrigued. I daresay whatever's in this story might be a little off, but I guess you could just call that artistic freedom? D:
Hmm... I read a little out of her text and off the internet. You could try searching for the following terms: Engi is the contraction for inen seigi, the chinese equivalent yuan'qi or Pratitya-samutpada, dependable wiki told me that this translates vaguely to dependent origination (plus other cool-sounding permutations). On wiki, it corresponds to this page here. It's really such a lovely, intriguing concept... I'm sorry I didn't depict it better! D:
But thanks so much for the review <3. And this is random, but your icon's gorgeous!
