CHARACTER NAME: Savannah Monroe
FANDOM: Hellcats
GRADE: Junior
MOST LIKELY TO: Most Optimistic
YEARBOOK QUOTE: "Positive outcomes only!"

PERSONALITY: If you're looking for the perfect example of the Type A personality, look no further than Savannah Monroe. As her roommate Marti has said, "That girl wouldn't know casual if it walked up to her and said, 'Hey, yeah, whatever.'" She is highly organized in every area and prefers to have some kind of plan available for whatever she might be doing, sometimes right down to the last detail. Nothing is more scary to her than going into something unprepared or with big uncertainties hanging over her head. However, she's also not afraid to stand up for what she believes in, despite any fear of the unknown.

Savannah is nearly always the perkiest person in the room, like a bright ray of sunshine. She's know for her catch phrase "positive outcomes only" and scrawling uplifting and inspirational mnemonics on the arms of her friends and teammates. She's a big believer in the power of positive thinking, which is part of what makes her an excellent cheerleader. Cheering isn't just something she does, it's who she is and she plans on being involved in it one way or another for the rest of her life. Any stereotypical judgments of the sport or heaping insults on her athleticism will bring out a fierce and intense anger that is few and far between.

Though she isn't nearly as conservative as her mother, she does hold onto her faith as a Christian and prays on a regular basis. It's part of what keeps her so upbeat. She believes that God always has a plan and will get her through whatever comes.

When it comes to what would be considered normal social behavior, she seems to feel often non-existent peer pressure to conform to the standards of the people around her. This may stem from her strict upbringing. She doesn't know how to deal with those situations and tends to make much more rash decisions when it comes to them. She almost lost her virginity to Marti's long-time friend Dan, who she was dating at the time, saying that it was weird to be a virgin at her age and she wanted to get it out of the way. After they broke up, she got drunk and made out with a guy she met at a barbecue (who ended up trying to rape her), because that's what she thought she was 'supposed to do'. This is and probably will continue to be an area where she's not so put together.

[IF YOU ARE AGING YOUR CHARACTER DOWN] HOW WILL AGING YOUR CHARACTER DOWN AFFECT THEIR PERSONALITY? As a teenager, Savannah will probably be even more susceptible to the pressure to do the perceived "normal teenage thing". Otherwise she's pretty much the same girl as above. She's only being aged down a few years, from a college junior to a high school junior.

AU HISTORY: Savannah was born into a conservative Evangelical family, lead more by her mother Layne than her father Parker. Like in canon, she and her younger sister Charlotte were homeschooled in Layne's effort to instill her same values into her daughters without the complications that came with exposing them to outside worldveiws. The divergence comes when they start high school, at which time Layne enrolled the girls in a private Christian high school.

Her AU high school career mirrors her canon in college. Savannah joined the school's cheerleading squad and loved it, eventually becoming captain of the squad. One of her teachers in first year taught Plato, about how he thought people can't see the true world, but reflected like a shadow on the wall of a cave. The teacher was fired, but it inspired Savannah to search out what she was missing. The first step to doing that was gaining some independence, so she got her driver's permit as soon as she could, drove her parents anywhere and everywhere whenever they would allow. She even got an acceptable job to earn enough money to buy herself a used car. It was her goal to experience things normal teenagers would, including the prom being held at nearby West High.
