Terrible curses we've been having, hm?  I can't say that I disagree with the sentiments of those who have been vandalizing the City lately, but I do wish they would express themselves without defacing the buildings.  I'm thankful that my memories weren't projected onto the network for all to see, however!

I've put together something of a rough guide ( Read more... )

Finally, some of your notes!

But yes, I've talked to someone else who wanted to make a new, extensive guide.

Nonetheless, I appreciate this!

The most relevant ones, anyway. I'm afraid the rest of my notes concern technological advancements that have been made since 1889--fascinating, truly, but I highly doubt anyone would care to peruse those notes.

Well, I hope it can be of some use, both to you and to future guides!

Well, I'd be interested, but then first I'd have to know about the advances made from my time until 1889.

I'm sure it will. I see you have some statistics! So you've made polls before?

I would offer to give you a history if I didn't suspect I would bore you to tears. Technology's a fascinating thing, though. The rate of development in the field is increasing exponentially, and I have to wonder if it will reach a peak and decline or continue along its current path...

Oh, only one. Rather, only one poll that I remember! I was apparently in the City before, and I've recovered the notes that were taken during that time period from the network. The recent poll was from January, I believe, and there weren't enough participants to make it fully accurate, but it was interesting. There's an incredible amount of diversity in the City.

Wow, someone's been doing a lot of work.

Someone's mun has no life. x_x somekindofsin March 20 2009, 06:45:57 UTC
It's not work so much as scouring the network and talking to anyone who will tolerate a thorough questioning!

D'aww, but we love you for it? punchlikeagirl March 20 2009, 17:04:27 UTC
That sounds like work to me.

Aw, thank you. <3 somekindofsin March 20 2009, 21:09:03 UTC
Can it be work if you enjoy it?

That is indeed an impressive collection of data.

Far from comprehensive, unfortunately, but all things in good time!

Indeed.

And the information on the deities, was it gathered based on the times they themselves post to the Network?

For the most part, yes. I spoke to one of them myself, and the rest of the information was located by way of an extensive search of the network. The information, of course, isn't necessarily trustworthy, especially information gleaned from the deities themselves.

Vandalism is not enough.

Ah. A new guide.

No? It's certainly getting a message across, although it seems as though taking concerns directly to the deities would be a more productive approach--unless, of course, the messages are aimed at the general populace rather the deities. If that's the case, then I suspect it's more than enough.

Unfortunately, yes. It's not terribly user-friendly, but I'm sure someone more adept will put together a better guide.

If that is the case, if there are those who are taking action, would you join?

It can help.

I would gladly join anything at all that's concerned with the greater good and welfare of everyone in the City, if that's the goal of those taking action.

The delinquents responsible for the vandalism would do well to remember that people reside in those buildings. Even further, it's highly more probable for said residents to take offense, while the hyenas laugh impeccably at their antics. Even the Tohno Haven--

As for this new guide, it's decent so far. A little fine tuning, perhaps further details on shops and such. But the preparatory tips for curses are much appreciated.

At least they're not harming anyone. The messages can be removed easily enough; what worries me is the possible motivation behind the messages. Most unruly mobs begin as scattered suggestions.

Oh, I don't mean for it to be a complete guide, or even one for newcomers, necessarily. I'd like it to be more of a reference, you see--not that further information wouldn't be welcomed! Frankly, the shops don't interest me all that much, so I doubt I'll investigate them further. Perhaps someone else might do a section on eateries, and another on retail, and so on. Explaining the City in full will take more than one person.
