SGB comment (as if what I already said for each chapter wasn't enough blabbering). This seemingly still in-progress (YAY!!!, as of summer 2012) series is a refreshing, perfectly within-character take on the ship. It’s refreshment comes from the enigma that Snafu is to Sledge. I admire this approach so much because I am overly quick to jump to “stuck-in-a-miserable-life-threatening-muddy-shithole-for-days-so-they-get-each-other.” This approach pumps up the angst and is entertaining as hell. ALSO this story is masterfully written. Phrasegem after phrasegem.

Frooit achieves the perfect balance of dialog and exposition, saying just enough in each scene, telling you some stuff, knowing/hoping you’ll figure the rest out.
