Summary: Nooj asks Paine to meet him at Sophie's Crepes. What is this? A date? Rikku sure would be happy. Paine doesn't know why he wants to see her, thought.

Nooj was well aware what he had asked her to do and what she forwent to be here, but he enjoyed her company. He wanted it to be just the two of them, like old times, before all of.... that.

The clicking of the metal cane resounded in the area as he approached the crepe shop. There was something about Japanese crepes which were incredibly alluring. Perhaps it was who he was meeting there.

"Paine," he greeted her.

She was still trying to think of why he had called her attention to a crepe shop of all places when he'd addressed her. She turned, looked him over, and nodded once, resisting the temptation to smile.

"Nooj. You're late." He wasn't really, but... She could tease him, right? Besides, he didn't strike her as the type to really care about being late. Or maybe he was just making an entrance.

While the slow elevator was the cause of lateness, Nooj wasn't one for extreme punctuality. He was somewhat surprised that Paine even cared about it. Whatever the case was, he was here.

"Only slightly," Nooj replied.

"I wasn't being serious," she explained as she shook her head at him in disbelief. What a man. Or half of one. Or part of one. Whatever. He was handsome.

She opened the door for him, "Come on, then. I'm waiting for an explanation."
