I've only commented once or twice on your journal so you might not remember me...
My name is Alana, I'm 24, and I'm Syrian (from Damascus)but I've been living in Canada. I won't write my life-story on here, but we added one another a while back... I've been reading your posts when you write, and I've been looking at your pictures when you put them up, and I love what you're doing.
Syria is so lucky to have your interest!

how long have you been living in canada?

I've been living in Canada for about 10 years now. Last year I was in Australia for Teacher's College.
But before that my family was in Saudi Arabia--Riyadh.
I've never actually lived in Syria, but I was born there and I went to visit a few times before coming to Canada. I love it there! Most of my family is there.
I'll be going to Syria more often now, so I'm sure if we don't get to meet this time, we will later (hopefully).

Any chance you might wish to do a college tour with a pictorial presentation of your visits? :-D

but i watched some clips on the net... she definitely portrayed syria as someone who had only been here for a week would, but for average americans, i suppose that is better than nothing. ;)
it was amusing to listen to the president stumble through an interview in english. he's so goofy.
