I am now the proud owner of a Ann Arbor Film Festival guide with Don Hertzfeldt's signature. They had a retrospective and Q&A with him last night, which was phenomenal. His most recent work, 2/3 of a trilogy, is surprisingly poignant and strikingly beautiful, not to mention often hilarious. Someone mentioned that it made them think of Synecdoche

Awesome. Hertzfeldt is pretty much an Internet hero thanks to Rejected and the like. And Synecdoche, NY is on my "must-see" list atm.
