Just before midnight last night, we had a 7.4 earthquake. We had been doing so well, no 6s in the last couple days, just a handful of 5s farther south. Now whenever it's quiet I'll just becoming increasingly worried. Wonderful

Spike pretty much has the idea. It's just a constant war between "it's getting better! things are almost normal!" and then quake-inspired swearing fits.

If it's a 3 or above, I'll feel it and recognize it, because that's about when my TV starts shaking. Anything below that, I can't distinguish between a real earthquake and me just shaking (because if you're still and quiet, you can trick yourself into thinking it's one) until I check online. :\

I actually have problems with my phone now, because I always have it on vibrate...but I don't respond to its low-level vibrations. But I don't want to be one of those people whose phone goes off annoyingly in public, so I just have to check it five million times a day. XD

And I mean, we have to deal with it, there isn't anything else to do but swear and make do. Unless you're the people I heard drinking and partying outside last night at 2am. You can do that, too, I guess. But I prefer to break out my fruity imported wine at happy times~

God I'm already so close to starting a Cuddle Countdown. First for when my waifu comes in August, and then for getting back to NCC and latching on to people and not letting go for approximately forever. The hug buildup, it is toxic.

I pretty much lay around today, post-power-resumption, thinking about how I'm going to be the weird traumatized one at NCC who hugs everyone hello and goodbye and you-made-me-smile-here's-a-hug and everything. Probably with excessive leaky eye, since I don't cry in public, but apparently my right eye cries whenever it wants to. And.

All of the hugs. Forever. I crave theeeem.
