What is "business casual" anyway??

Well, after checking out the bank's dress code, I realized that a major shopping trip actually IS a necessity... five years of college and four years of employment at a deli didn't exactly help me build up a wardrobe of "business causual" clothing. I sincerely hope that I don't have to look bland and vaguely preppy for nine hours every day. :P ( Read more... )

that sucks about them not allowing the nose spike, I mean really..it is 2006, it isn't a new and shocking thing to see grown up responsible people with nose rings.
Fuckers.

Is it something you can put back in after work?

You might be surprised what you can find at goodwill that can get you by for awhile. otherwise, I'm not too up on where to get business casual clothes.

I know it! That seems silly to me, and it's not like a nose piercing is the most extreme, or the most visible facial piercing out there. :P

I might look into getting a spacer to wear during the day and then just put it back in at the end of the day.

Thanks for the tip - I think I will hit up Goodwill & St. Vincent's... Savers has some really nice sweaters and stuff once in a while as well.

actually guys have it even easier for business casual ;) ties usually dont fall into that catagory.

for the ladies, pants, skirts at least knee-length, blouse.. business casual is just that. nothin' too terribly fancy.

mmmkay, thank you. i just checked them out online and they have some really really cute stuff, although JCPenney is a bit too pricey for me right now... maybe after a few paychecks.

Big trick with Kohl's is to go to the store and look on the clearance racks, they usually have stuff like 50 to 80 % off. Thats where you really get the saviongs, JCPenneys is the same way.

I still can't find nice shirts or slacks... I have nice ties, though. I think most slacks look like ass and shirts are difficult. Especially cuz I can't wear short sleeves.
