Xmas day was actually ok. I volunteered to work, since may as well let people with families get to spend time with them, although getting up is always a joy. But since there were no bosses about, it was rather more relaxing that it wouldve been normally. Went down to England on my 5 days off (i feel like i've had as many days off as worked). It was around a 15 hour bus ride to get to reading, but it turned out to be worth it. Had such a good time and recaptured a bit of the fun of sightseeing, as work and location in Oban was dragging me down ( Read more... )

I DID go away after my Stirling contract finished, a 2 week tour of central europe: Berlin, Munich, Prague, Warsaw, Krakow, Budapest. It was cold, but it didn't rain the whole time, unlike the minute I got back to Scotland, trekking around a new town carrying my luggage! Got sick in Budapest though.
