first your doctor is nuts.. no one with a family and a life has time for 1.5 hours of exercise every day.. that is nuts. There has to be a compromise. and of course it is the balance of calories taken in versus calories burned. you could exercise that much and still gain, if you ate wrong. Have you had thyroid levels checked? the whole "tired, do not want to leave the house" thing? could be low thyroid.
Sweetie, I get the impression you have your sights set on surgery, but I have to warn you that isn't necessarily the way to go. It's a last resort, and is not without consequences no matter what the outcome. There have been a fair few women where I work at who have had this done, and not all of them succeeded in losing the weight.
You say you're living like a depressed person, but you're not. okay. So a few questions. Do you find you get like this during Fall & Winter months only? Or does this happen year-round? Have you had your thyroid checked? There could be real medical reason for this, which would tie in directly to the weight issue.
I have been looking into bariatric surgery myself. My back surgeon has talked of it if epidural shots don't work, because then we'll have to do surgery on my back and being overweight will not help it...will in fact harm it
( ... )
and p.s. the one above me...asked about your depression and if it happens all the time or mostly during fall and winter. If it does, you may have S.A.D. Seasonal Affected Disorder (i have this myself). Look it up, you may be surprised how much NOT having sunlight can affect you!

Bariatric surgery is very very serious, life threatening and has horrid side effects. Most people are physically miserable after doing this. I would say find another doctor and find a middle ground. Huggs
