After the Divine Mercy Chapel, we drove to our Hostel--I spent the night with girls I didn't really know. We left around 7:30 or 8 p.m. on Thursday night...I was on Bus 1, the quiet bus for the trip to and from Poland. It was great! I met a lot of new people and got sleep!! After the blessing, we prayed for a while in front of the Blessed Sacrament in the monastery chapel. We then went to mass at St. Peter Stiftskirche, which was my favorite church! After we looked at the church, we walked to the restaurant where we had lunch. The houses and stores were all so cute! The fun started on Thursday night (Jan 27) when we had a free day...I spent it sleeping in a little and going to mass and doing homework during the day. So tonight we get to watch "The Sound of Music" and tomorrow we head off for Salzburg for the weekend. I am excited about going there b/c when my family went to Austria, we wanted to go there, but didn't get around to it. I have a lot of homework to get done, though, so I should go.

Today my first class was cancelled. My teacher (Prof. Asci) has a son who is sick with a mysterious illness. It is really sad. I have two classes with him and he has cancelled both of them the past two days. But I am still thankful for the day off, even though it is for a sad reason...I got to go to mass today...I had to skip it the other day b ( Read more... )

After we ate, we went to a monastery in Melk. I was kind of bored thru-out the tour, just b/c I was so tired. I hadn't recovered from jetlag yet. I thoroughly enjoyed their chapel with the Blessed Sacrament. It was enclosed in a glass case. What really stuck out to me and which I thought was INCREDIBLY gorgeous was the cross in that room.
