BREAD!!!

So I just found heaven! It resides in an organic and healthfood store called J. Navarro in the center of Valencia. They have a whole section of gluten free foods including bread and lasagne noodles! I just got back to my apartment and had toast. TOAST!!! with jam and it was the most wonderfully yummy thing in the world ( Read more... )

This may seem like an odd question, but . . . do they have toasters in Valencia?

Because they don't here. When they make "toast" they mean "slice of bread, lightly fried in oil."

It's a little weird.

i don't think they have toasters here either. Sliced bread while easy to get is not as common as loaf breads. I toast my toast in the oven under the broiler.

Ahh, the broiler. Okay.

I'd suggest that to my host ammaa, except apparently they don't do ovens here either.

It's like the twilight zone, or something.
