Danger: Politics and Satire Ahead!

Jul 16, 2008 12:19

You may want to skip this. I don't want to offend anyone. But I also wanted to post jibjab's newest political satire for those who are interested.

Context (because we know that satire without context is very, very dangerous) )

Not offend but scared shitless about the horrors that November will bring. Maybe I could get used to Canada....

Glad I didn't offend you!

But don't be scared. Quite honestly, I don't see how either candidate could be worse than Bush. (Now I've offend you, haven't I? Sorry if I have.) I"m actually quite hopeful. Just bemused by the political nonsense (bemused and amused)!

Hope you're doing well!

I'm an Obama supporter. I have been since 2004 when he gave the speech in Boston at the Democratic convention. He's not perfect; he may be just another politician. I don't know. I didn't like his decision on FISA, but I'm still hopeful. We'll see how it goes.

Same here, actually. I wasn't an active supporter at first, but when I heard his 2004 speech I immediately said to myself, out loud actually, that he's going to be the next president. I can't explain it, he's just got that extra something great politicians usually have.

Anyway, that cartoon was just unimaginative, actually, lazy too. But I bet Obama has learned his lesson--make a big deal about something you don't want people to see, and it becomes a big deal. Let's hope he's learned, anyway.

Yeah, that's how I felt, too. I figured he's either going to be a great president or a demagogue. I'm really banking on the former! :-D

Yeah, it was. As someone in the media, you must get tired of all this, yes? Or no ... does it become more exciting for you?

Unrelated: how's the new iPhone treating you? :-D

Yes, I do get tired of hearing it, but luckily like everyone else I can just turn the TV off because that's most of the problem! Oh, and the iPhone and I are getting along great, thanks for asking :)
