Riding an Amtrak from NYC to Chicago takes longer than riding a fucking GREYHOUND BUS. Okay? Does anyone see anything really wrong with this picture here? Riding a TRAIN. On uninterrupted tracks. Powered by a huge fucking loud engine with about a million horsepower. Takes longer. Than riding a BUS. In traffic. Powered by a smaller and slower engine ( Read more... )

ok, sorry, I couldn't resist before

taking the train is way worth it, though. much bigger cars, a SNACK CAR, and it's generally a smoother ride so you can nap. the bus is often smelly and cramped, and you know you don't want to use that one bathroom on there. unless you buy every ticket on one bus so you have a major party or something

also, it takes longer because when a train makes a stop, it normally stops for a long ass time (it's not the CTA, darling)
