A major storm walloped Ottawa this weekend. The first blast on Friday brought a mere 17 cm, while last night's storm brought over 40 cm of snow. Given the treacherous conditions yesterday I wasn't able to go out birdwatching, and given the deep snow today I'm not sure I'll be able to get out of my driveway, let alone onto the trails! Yeah, no kidding! Digging out is very slow going. At least the road has been plowed and the sun has come out!

Thanks, X. It's not the cold that's the problem....the temperature is supposed rise above 0°C (that's 32°F) the rest of this week...it's all the DAMN SNOW!!!!
