I hope that the custard wasn't mean to be symbollic of something. If so, that's disgusting. There are young children present after all. Particularly Goyle and- Hooper and Longbottom. And the worst thing is that the contents of the owl are not totally unfeasible.

I think I just lost my appetite. Perhaps permanently.

My new charges (the Gryffindors) have been rather quiet of late. Too quiet - at that back table where many of them sit. Perhaps they are plotting to steal some more of my ancestors' magic, or at the very least this square of lasagna.
