Megan's visit was pretty awesome.  Amsterdam is crazy.  I drank and smoked more this whole week than I probably have since I've been here.    And I've finally been kicked out of the Sugarhouse!  It took 6 months or so but Megan helped make it happen.  I was starting to feel left out ( Read more... )

I've noticed that English people really like to correct my pronunciation of  certain words.  Quite frankly, it pisses me off.

"It's not zee-bra, its zebra (rhymes with debra)"
"Bay-sil? No no, it's BAH-Sil (rhymes with dazzle)"
"Yo-gurt? HAHA! no silly, it's YAW-Gurt"

I walked down to the laundrette to do a load the other night, when I walked in there were two fully naked males sitting cross legged in the chairs infront of the machines.  I hesitated for a minute and thought about walking out, but I really needed to do my laundry.   It takes 40 minutes to wash and 50 to dry.  It was really awkward.
