[CLOSED] Date + Lady (and later a dying Dante) [(EVENTUALLY) OUTER RESIDENTIAL QUARTER III - 1 AM]

[This is Date, now finally coming to the outer perimeters of Death City after having scoured through the inner districts of Shibusen. A final run through there had shown that his partner was nowhere to be found at all, and now all that was left was to go through the outer districts.

The warlord curses to himself as he scurries on, looking around as he runs in order to try and find out where his partner was. He was already away from his zone long enough, he needed to return to it... but before that he was going to run around the other outer areas one more time before returning. And perhaps when he did, Dante would be there as well.]

[Likewise, Date is glad that it works, even if the rocket launcher feels a little to heavy and unwieldy for him - but its not as if he has a choice in the matter as it is for now. Grimancing, the warlord quickly takes a few steps back before turning around and making haste, trying to put distance between them and the kishins once more. The attack at least has left them confused, but its only a matter of time before they regroup and strike again.]

This is your plan? [Comes the question in between breaths, as Date contiunes to run. He doesn't want to shoot again unless he has to, given how he knows that his resosance with Lady isn't going to be the best.]

[lady_may_cry]

You have a better one? [Her tone is snippy. She doesn't like this situation any more than he does.] Look, your sword wasn't going to do shit against these things, and neither will my guns. At least we can move faster this way.

[Poor resonance or not, it's still better than nothing. And at least they did some damage.] Besides, we gotta find Dante, not waste our time with these pieces of crap.

[getyourgunson]

[The warlord makes a sound of agreement, hardly minding Lady's snippy tone - they were all quite stressed now, after all.] Yeah, I got you.

[Hastens his pace now, running from the kishins as much as he can while trying to find Dante. They're still quite confused it seems, so at least Date knows he can still get a bit of a headstart before they go after both of them again.]

[They get pretty far away before the Kishin Eggs recover enough to resume their chase, but they seem to be angry now, which makes them more feral.]

Heads up.

[Just a quick mention, since he's not exactly looking behind them.]

The next zone is up ahead. We should be able to find someone there. Maybe some backup.

[Yeah, Date noticed that as well - which is a good relief, considering everything. The warlord turns behind again, seeing the kishins catching up with them and without thinking twice, twists around to fire another round from the rocket launcher.

This time he manages to get back on his feet quickly enough after the recoil, and he dashes past the borders of the two zones to enter back onto his own zone - outer residential quarter III. At least now he was on territory he was familiar with, and that was going to help.]

[lady_may_cry]

[Lady's focus remains on the enemies as the smoke clears. Those Kishin Eggs aren't going to keep following, and she's pretty sure she can see at least one red crystalline orb floating a few feet above the ground.]

Where were you supposed to meet Dante?

[Priorities, she has them.]

I'm trying to find him, not meet him. [A correction, and one that is laced with annoyance as Date hurries past the border, now keeping his eyes peeled in locating Dante. This is really irritating by the second, damnit.]

[lady_may_cry]

Well, obviously. But you never made plans to meet up during or before the attack?

[That seemed really stupid if that was the case. Then again, Dante is pretty stupid.]

Tch, whatever. Let's just get to your zone and hope he's fucking there.

[getyourgunson]

[A grunt in response.] No, not really. [And what was the point if he did, anyway? Dante never made an effort to follow through.]

[Checking behind to make sure that the kishins aren't on his tail so much as before, Date makes another sound of agreement to Lady's next words.] Hopefully he is, considering everything now.

[For all their sakes, he really really hopes so.]

When do you want Dante to jump in this?

With any luck, we'll hear him before we see him. Then we'll know where to go.

[It's a valid statement; Dante isn't exactly quiet.

They hurry through the depths of the zone, and Lady tries to focus her senses on finding Dante. She's getting incredibly anxious, and it's likely making their resonance unstable. They needed to find him quick.]

Uuuh anytime now I guess? (unsure)

[Date only makes a slightly amused sound.] Yeah, I know. [He certainly knows, alright.

Running deeper into the zone, the warlord feels the weight starting to pull him down heavily - a result of their decreasing resonance. The man frowns, increasing his efforts even more in seeking out Dante. They'd better find him soon, or else things were going to be bad pretty soon.]

How about telling me then instead of letting me randomly stumble upon this? XD

[Well they can definitely hear something. He'd somehow managed to get Ieyasu and Chane to stay behind and look after the area while he decided to head towards the clinic by himself. Dante's still got Ieyasu's shirt to try and staunch the bleeding and he was making somewhat decent progress before a bunch of kishin found him.

He's shooting at them while he's trying to move faster and get away, but it's not long before the gun runs empty and with one hand pressed against his stab wound, he can't reload.]

Shit!

[It doesn't help that he ends up stumbling and falls to the ground. If it has to be like this, might as well take down as many of these as I can with me. Dante transforms his arm back and it's only a matter of time before the kishin reach him...]

[And there's that unmistakable voice, swearing at the top of his lungs. They couldn't have missed it if they tried.]

Go!

[She can tell he's in trouble by the way he yells. Back home she woudln't be worried - Dante could take an impalement or a bullet to the face and walk away. Here, things aren't quite so simple.]

WHY IS IT ALWAYS MY FAULT D:

[Date hears it too, alright, and he too can tell that something's wrong. Without even Lady telling him, the warlord's already quickening his steps, dashing towards where the sound came from--

--and he sees it alright, and without even thinking twice Date readies the launcher on his arm and fires right at the kishins, blowing them off from Dante.]

[And here Dante was prepared to go out in a blaze of glory or something like it. They were mere seconds away when they get blasted away.

Surprised, he turns to look at the source, and he's never been so relieved to see Date and Lady. He didn't want to die.]

Where the hell have you been?! You're fucking late!
