[CLOSED] Date + Lady (and later a dying Dante) [(EVENTUALLY) OUTER RESIDENTIAL QUARTER III - 1 AM]

[This is Date, now finally coming to the outer perimeters of Death City after having scoured through the inner districts of Shibusen. A final run through there had shown that his partner was nowhere to be found at all, and now all that was left was to go through the outer districts.

The warlord curses to himself as he scurries on, looking around as he runs in order to try and find out where his partner was. He was already away from his zone long enough, he needed to return to it... but before that he was going to run around the other outer areas one more time before returning. And perhaps when he did, Dante would be there as well.]

[Shit, there's fucking enemies everywhere, and Dante's on the fucking ground. The shot that goes off is actually stronger than the previous ones, both of them wanting to protect Dante from the creatures that are coming after him. One or two are destroyed, and the rest run off in different directions.

Which is good, because Lady is tired as hell, and if she hadn't transformed back now she would have within moments anyway. As it is, she's running the rest of the way toward Dante.]

Get the hell up, we're getting out of here! [Then her eyes widen.] Shit, Dante. You're bleeding everywhere!

[Date manages to not fall from the recoil this time despite its massiveness, and he can feel the exhaustion from the unstable resonance eating into him even after Lady turns back. Still, he pushes himself forward, hurrying towards Dante as well and doing a good job of not flinching at the injury that Dante got.]

We can't carry him in this condition. [Glances back to see the kishins already stating to regroup. This wasn't going to be fun. Turning back to Dante after that, one hand on his shoulder.] You need to transform, Dante. Can you manage that?

[This whole situation is making him pissy.]

No shit, what gave it away? The trail of blood behind me?

[And in response to Date's words he waves his partially transformed arm before he transforms fully. It's a serious drain on what energy reserves he has left, but at least for now, the pain has lessened.]

Yeah, that and the growing puddle at your feet.

[A touch of sarcasm, even at a moment like this, but she certainly doesn't look amused. Her brows are furrowed deeply, a telltale sign of stress. She'd never lost that much blood, and for a reason. It's amazing he's still conscious.]

Let's get the fuck out of here. [And to the clinic, pronto.]

[This really wasn't the time to be sarcastic at all, and it shows on Date's face as he frowns - but he doesn't say anything otherwise; this really isn't the time to be disagreeable. Once Dante turns into Rebellion, Date grabs the claymore without wasting another second, looking towards the regrouping kishins.]

We can't stay here with Dante like this; we need to get him to Shubusen. [Its enough of a miracle that Dante was able to change; now the question was how long he could maintain this. The resonance now was helping, but who knows how long this can last.]

[The resonance is the biggest help, it means that he's not handling it by himself and he's able to draw off from Date to keep himself conscious as well as maintaining his transformed state. But it really was just a short term solution.]

It's just a scratch, I'll be fine.

But seriously, what took you so long?

[Dante found it strange how he'd managed to get there way earlier than Date.]

[Ugh, isn't that what she just said? Seriously, didn't anyone ever listen to her. Nevermind that the stress of today's events have left her even more on edge than normal.]

That's definitely not just a scratch.

[She's already turning, a serrated blade appearing in a flash along the underside of her arm, before she begins to run in the direction of Shibusen, knowing they'd be following.]

We were searching for your stupid ass, and being chased by a bunch of those things. What do you think happened?

What Lady said. [To both of what Dante had just said. Like with the both of them, the warlord isn't in a mood for small talk anytime soon, not with their situation.

Anyway, he's picking up the pace besides Lady now, glancing behind to make sure that the kishins weren't on their tail just yet - which is a yes, though its only a matter of time before they catch up. Hopefully by then though, they would be far enough to manage a proper escape. Scowling at the sight of the pack, he then turns back towards Lady.] Got any more ideas?

Me and my 'stupid ass' were already where we were supposed to be before the whole thing started! [While he might not have done much normally, he was right there when it did matter.

He would have said more if not for a sudden instability in their resonance. It was a timely reminder that the only reason he was still conscious was through sheer willpower and arguing really wasn't helping things. His reflection in the blade showed him doubling over until it stabled again.

He's tiring and needing to rely more on his Meister to keep this up.]

Well, I had just assumed that your partner had checked here first.

[And now she sounds even more angry, even suspicious. She turned her gaze toward Date, looking demanding.]

Of course I did. [Snaps back, irritated that people are actually doubting him.] But I couldn't find Dante at all, so I had to look all over the city to search for him.

[Because you should have been a lot more obvious Dante, instead of always going to that stripper club at the Red Light District. :T]

[Despite the it being a very bad idea, Dante had to keep arguing back.]

I was with Ieyasu and that mute chick. Didn't realise that made me hard to find.

[Date's irritation was another distraction and a strain on him. Dante mentally hissed at him.]

Stop that! This is hard enough without you bitching.

Well, obviously you didn't look hard enough, since he was here the whole time!

[Since apparently Date didn't have enough faith that he'd be in the right place.]

Tch. Let's just hurry.

[Date would have argued more, but this is really not the time and place to do so considering they're about to have kishins on them any second now. Only grunting to both parties, the warlord continues to move, doing his best to support Dante as much as possible - he's not in the best state himself since he needed to handle Lady earlier, but he can manage.

Hopefully it'll be enough for both of them until they get to safety.]

[Lady's internally fuming, and its obvious by the look on her face. Sweat beads on her brow as she chases after Date and Dante; it's hard work trying to keep up with the currently resonating partners.

She pulls her guns from their holsters as she books it after them. She knows they won't do much, but at the very least she can make a distraction.]
