[After he'd separated from Hades, Rufus had gotten lost. It was his own fault, really, for not bothering to get to know the city well yet. He'd stumbled around in the dark, ducking monsters and any fighters who looked like threats, skulking about in the shadows that filled the alleys and streets, until he'd made it to semi-familiar territory. Rufus knew how to get from home to work and back, and he recognized the area he was in as being near to work.

If he was near the club, maybe Reno was still around. Moving as quietly as possible with a cane in one hand and still-injured bones, Rufus went from building to building, hoping to spot the redhead.]

[Reno was, of course. Some of the girls at the strip joint nearby had gotten stuck, and Reno really couldn't just leave them alone. At least their apartments were nearby, so he spotted Rufus before Rufus spotted him. Fucking idiot.

[Rufus jumped at the sound of a voice right there at his side, but relaxed quickly when he recognized the redhead there.]

Reno! Are you alright?

[There was no point in trying to keep the concern out of his voice so he didn't. Facing an attack in the open like this instead of safely behind metal walls and a megaton of firepower was a far cry from what he was used to.]

[Reno is very much not amused. He knows Rufus knows better than to do something stupid like this, so why is he doing it?!]

[Rufus can see that. His panting and rather unsure expression should clue Reno in that he's not doing it on purpose.]

I was at dinner with Hades and I got lost trying to find my way to safety. What are you doing out here?

Got done with work when the attack started, and some of the strippers next door were panickin'. Got them someplace safe so they wouldn't get in the way of people fighting. Looks like I gotta do the same for you.

[Rufus nods, then there's a quick flash of anger, one that's directed at himself.]

I can only move so fast. I'd rather have you with me if those things find us.

[Reno nods, bending down to get a broken pipe. It's not his EMR, but it'll work]

Like I'm gonna leave you here, sir. Where to first, Communal or Shibusen?

Shibusen is probably safer. If the Kishen eggs all came in through the outer quarters they may still be coming through there.

Right. Okay. [Reno has no idea how to get to Shibusen from here. Shit. Oh well! He nods in a general direction, and starts moving]

[Rufus follows, staying close by just in case something happens and they do get attacked.]

[Asch had been working at the bar before the usual din of the bar itself turned into a ruckus of people screaming, glass breaking, and overall chaos as people tried to escape the bar and to safety.

he escaped through the back of the bar, to avoid getting caught up in the crowd. he had people to find, and quick.

luckily enough, he sees Rufus and Reno.]
