Characters: Jade Curtiss and you! Location: Shibusen library. Rating: PG to be safe. Time: November 24th, afternoon Description: While everyone's busy making a commotion, one newcomer's going to study.
[Somehow, Minako had found herself promising to cook two people dinner. One was set for a day or so from now, and another at an undetermined point when Koujurou-san's garden started showing results. He'd mentioned something about leeks, and Minako had slowly realised she... had never really cooked with leeks before.
As it was something she wanted to do herself, she'd not asked her senpai for any help, and had gone to the library in the hopes of finding a cook book with some interesting recipes she could try.
The library was usually pretty quiet, so the unfamiliar man focusing all his attention multiple books stood out. She pauses - this is a library after all, and it would be rude to just appear out of nowhere and ask of a stranger needed any help when he seemed to be all right as he was - before turning her attention to the shelves in search of a decent cookbook.]
Very well. The rules are as follows: 1) You may only relate a tale about a person directly related to you and 2) You may only use tales related to your own world. Shall we begin?
[She lets out an amused chuckle, before considering what to say. Might as well start with the worst kept secret here about here and her friends.]
Myself, and the people I know gained the ability to summon physical representations of our own psyches to fight for us. I suppose it's something of a man-made ability, linked to the ten-year story, even if a number of us achieved it naturally.
Where shall I begin with mine...ah, it was a cold night many winters ago. I was lost in the snow at that time and I had thought myself doomed for sure when a shining figure appeared before my eyes. As she offered her hand to me, she said... [And then Jade just stops there, still looking absolutely serious.]
This may or may not be some kind of sign.curtissyJune 30 2011, 14:41:39 UTC
Perhaps, but you'll have to wait for the sequel to find out. [And he looks at Minako with a perfectly straight face.] Would you like to have another turn?
minako is trolling you through html. yes.wildcardetteJuly 1 2011, 16:40:58 UTC
I don't know. That was only really half a story, so I'm currently ahead in the story telling by fifty per cent.
[But, you know. It's probably better to stay ahead of the game.]
Hmm, well... one of friend is a robot. I was on holiday with the group, and she found me practically out of no where, and pretty much clung to me. Obviously, she had her reasons, but it was a different experience. I'd never been tackle hugged by a robot before.
And then Jade trolled Fuuka's HTML.curtissyJuly 1 2011, 19:07:13 UTC
Some enthusiasts would claim that a story is best left open-ended.
[Mmm hmm, this is a little more informative.] Interesting. Did the robot have a crush on you by any chance? Not that I'm suggesting of course that she might have crushed you in any way!
Now, now. Don't take it out on Fuuka. wildcardetteJuly 1 2011, 19:16:46 UTC
And some would just say you couldn't think of a decent ending.
[She folds her arms and looks thoughtfuly, before chuckling.]
It might've looked - [... and sounded.] - like that actually. But no. Something in her programming insisted she needed to be near me, but she was just a robot for a very long time. She was acting on command, so to speak.

Well, if there were rules maybe they should've been mentioned earlier, but no, I'm not admitting anything.
[She looks thoughtful for a moment.]
Hmm... I guess that, even if my tale is technically only a decade, a major part of it goes back pretty much eternally.

Sure. Otherwise this would hardly be fair.

[It isn't like she has any other pressing issues to attend to right now.]

A man-made ability, you say? Hmm...but I supposed it has been sealed too.

Something profound and remarkable, I hope.
[She's not entirely sure she believes you Jade, but the story is fairly entertaining and interesting nonetheless.]
