[Group Four - West Wing - Yuffie, Sasuke, Kasuga]

[Hum, this feels familiar. Having gained entry into the compound, rather than get caught up in the thick of the fighting the three ninja had engaged in one of the oldest past times of shinobi - not being seen. Considering how the plan's unfolding elsewhere, this seems to be something completely unorthodox. You'd almost think nobody had attacked and destroyed fortifications before.]

Yare yare, this sure brings back memories. [Even if it wasn't all that long ago for him, this business reminds him an awful lot of his foray into Osaka with Kasuga, though she doesn't remember it. From her perspective, she hasn't done it yet. It's kind of annoying, too - they worked so well together, then.

He's careful to keep his voice down, in any case. Hate to jinx it now. They're almost at their designated location, picking up the pace now as Yuffie's taking the lead, flanked a few steps back by himself and Kasuga. He would've insisted on being first, but... she's the Meister. What can you do?]

[Yuffie and silence; oh how unnatural, but it can be done! With AVALANCHE it was always fine to just bust in and go all out, but this is different. She isn't with Cloud and the others this time.] Memories? [She's with these two, not that she's complaining - how many people get to have two Weapons?]

I just thought you sat around and did nothing all day. [Her voice is still hushed, eyes forward while she speaks. Get in, get out, boom! That's all there is to it, right? Can't be too hard so long as they don't get caught.] Lazy, lazy~

[She manages to check back over her shoulder at the two for a quick glance, maybe making sure they're alright or just to flash them her infamous grin.]

[ Kasuga chose to take up the rear several paced behind Sasuke, a position she partially chose so the shinobi would not sneak glances at her own (rear, that is). Though her countenance is hard as ever, she can't help but to feel nervous for several reasons. It was, after all, her first mission and there was much still to do. But she was a ninja and she had been through more than simply planting a bomb before.

As they padded along silently, Kasuga raised an eyebrow at Sasuke's inability to keep silent, yet she was curious as to his meaning all the same. She did not have a chance to ask before Yuffie had. The young woman's comment causes her to hmm with a silent snort and though it was dark, her lips twitched into a smirk. ]

More like Let's Pick On Sasuke Party. ;_;

[Sasuke scowls and almost considers protesting, but it's not really in his nature to talk about how awesome he is. God forbid, Yuffie does that enough for five people. And then some. Instead, he smiles cheerfully and replies in as cheerful and helpful voice as he can muster.] Shouldn't you be keeping your eyes forward? That's basic shinobi training, you know~

[Alright, maybe he had actually been entertaining some not-so-old memories and not attempting to bait Yuffie, but his mind's back on the job at hand. Well, after he chastises himself quickly for letting himself get distracted, anyway. He's better than that. Distractions get people killed. His expression smooths over and hardens back more into seriousness while he keeps his eyes on his assigned field of vision.]

I'll tell you later. [He totally won't.] Pick it up, we're almost there.

It's more fun picking on him, though. 8D

Trust me, I know what I'm doing. [Not that those words are really all that reassuring when they're coming out of her mouth.

She rolls her eyes maybe a little too dramatically and turns forward again.] Bossy for a Weapon... [But she does as ordered, hastening the pace. Maybe it's the excitement of being on a big mission, or Yuffie could just be impatient, but she's anxious to get there sooner. They've been lucky so far, there's no way they'll be found out now.]

You should trust me, you know. Like Kasuga, she hasn't complained once and she has to deal with you, too. [Still talking, probably to herself at this point.]

Now now, children :|

Enough. [ Kasuga's voice was low and sharp. The kunoichi had grown tired of their quip already and in an act to put a stomp to it, she picked up her pace. As she pressed passed Sasuke, she narrowed her eyes at him but otherwise said nothing as before she put herself between the two. It no longer mattered if the shinobi chose to take advantage of the situation, after all, if he was going to look she knew he would find a way to do it regardless. ]

Now is not the time. As Sarutobi has already said, we are nearly there.

[To his credit, Sasuke keeps his eyes where they're supposed to be. If anything he decidedly avoids looking back at Kasuga, considering he generally likes to avoid making himself look bad in front of the kunoichi. In fact he usually likes to make a note of trying to appear better.

Good thing he's paying attention rather than blah-blahing or throwing filthy looks. Turns out they're not alone, just as they're reaching the bomb site.]

Incoming! [He slows down quickly and scans about to make sure there's no ambush waiting for them. Doesn't appear to be. There's a Kishin Egg right where they need to go, though, and it's seemingly noticed them. There's only a matter of seconds before it charges them and attacks. He only pauses for a second.]

Kasuga, transform! Yuffie, give me the bomb! [He may not be the Meister, but there isn't really time to argue or deliberate when you're about to be attacked. Yuffie probably has better chances and better resonance with Kasuga, which is his first concern.]

[Scolded by her favorite Weapon, Yuffie falls into an almost pouted silence. It's no fun getting in trouble, not that she has much time to sulk over it.

Her immediate reaction is to argue, but she bites her tongue in favor of following the command. Without second thought she's shoving the bomb at Sasuke then jumping back, free hand reaching for the other female as she takes a defensive stand.] Kasuga!

Why me-- [ Kasuga, on the other hand does start to argue. In her eyes, it is not right that Yuffie take her just yet, but one look at the Kishin Egg causes her mouth to snap shut. She offers no more than a nod in understanding before she allows herself a quick second before she is in the Meister's grasp. ]

[Having acquired the bomb, he immediately crouches down to make himself into a smaller target. There isn't a lot he can do here other than finish the job.] If you keep it busy or kill it, I can try to get past and set the bomb. [Time is sorta of the essence, after all. Longer they take, more likely that something else shows up.]

[The Kishin Egg itself is more bestial than intelligent, and as far as it is concerned, it is now slightly less outnumbered. With an unearthly scream, it tears towards the ninja, arching what seems to be a long scorpion's tail behind it. Unfortunately, Sasuke is now at the front. The girls probably ought to do something about that before he gets skewered.]

[wutaisrose]

[She tightens her grip on the hilt now in her hand, raising the blade in front of herself.] Just do it fast!

[The only order she'll give him before she's dashing forward, leaping up onto Sasuke's shoulders and launching off of him and out toward the oncoming Kishin Egg. She can apologize for using him like that later...

Without another second she swings Kasuga down at that sharpened tail.]

[ As impressed as Kasuga was with Yuffie's act, she could not help but to close her eyes in fear. She trusted Yuffie, but the act of another person handling her in battle was not something she was used to. She did not open them until she felt herself collide with the Kishin Egg's tail. ]

Finish it now while you can-- Do not hesitate while you have the advantage! [ If she couldn't do all the work, the least she could do was offer support. ]

Underst- [He's momentarily surprised but his reflexes kick in quickly when Yuffie jumps onto his shoulders. He gives an additional upward boost and starts moving, keeping an eye on her as she launches away. Was the girl crazy? Leaving herself in midair against an enemy with range-

Oh. Okay, maybe the girl is better than he thought. When the tail lashes out, the two Kunoichi have the greater height and manage to sever it before it can be of any use at all. The Kishin Egg is evidently aware of the same thing, since it attempts to swat at them with its now-blunted tail and back away, deadly claws suddenly extending from its hands.

Not going to go down that easily, though. In the meantime, Sasuke begins slinking around as far from the battle as possible in an attempt to go unnoticed.]

[A characteristic smirk crosses her lips at Kasuga's encouragement, nodding quickly in response.] Come on, we had the advantage the whole ti-aah! [Cocky and distracted, she still manages to regain herself after the quick swat of the tail.

Steadying her footing once she's landed, Yuffie raises the blade a second time and slides a leg back, narrowing her eyes at the fiend.] I wasn't done talking! [She's never done talking, but that's not the point.

With a (nonthreatening) growl, she starts in again. Running forward, blade held back and body low, Yuffie speeds toward those deadly claws. It might be more reckless, but as she nears she lifts the short sword, slicing at one of the open legs.]

[It's difficult not to call out, between Yuffie seemingly allowing herself to get distracted and then her next attempt at a suicidal charge. Seriously? She has limited reach, and she's opening up with an attack that leaves her totally unguarded. He hopes that the girl has a plan in mind or that it was some kind of ploy.

Regardless, he has a job to do, and he can't draw attention to himself. He's going to have to put trust in not only Yuffie, but Kasuga to support her. As much as the latter has a tendency to let her emotions get to her, Sasuke knows she's reliable when things get serious.]

[It doesn't take genius for the Kishin Egg to work out what to do when a low target comes speeding at him for a low strike. It jumps aside and upward, briefly gains purchase on an adjacent wall, and then springs onto Yuffie in an attempt to crush her beneath its weight and rend her to pieces if necessary.]

[ Inwardly, Kasuga squirmed as she saw the same thing the shinobi had. She felt helpless in this state, yet she pushed back her feelings of unrest in order to trust the hands that held her. ]

Yuffie-- [ She cried out in both a warning and panic. At the same time, she felt something build within her. Fearful of what might happen if she did not take the change, Kasuga gave no warning before she cried out. ]

Circle of the Moon [ Her voice was low with a deadly ring of seriousness to it and before the words made it out of her mouth five blades appeared in mid air, surrounding the Kishin Egg. Wires gleamed between each of the blades as they sliced through the creature in various places.

The attach lasted no more than several seconds, the blades and wires fazing out just as quickly as they had appeared. ]
