[Complain about the dinner? ("This doesn't look like a Chocobo at all!") Check. Make jokes about Aerith giving the boys cooties? Check. Drink? Check. Although the drinking might have been somewhere between complaining and cooties...

But now Yuffie's clinging to a sobering-but-still-tipsy dizziness and she finally stands back from the others, snickering at them to herself. It's an affectionate snickering, honest, because these are some of her favorite people in the world and she's perfectly content with not forcing herself into being the center of attention for once.]

Not makin' a scene?

[Reno's got a glass of...something suitably alcoholic in his hand as he flops down next to the ninja. He doesn't put an arm around her or anything, though, since....well, mixed company.]

[She doesn't look directly at him, but rather watches him from the corner of her eye with a slight pout tugging down at the corners of her lips now.]

I thought I'd take a break. It's tough being as popular as I am, but I understand if you don't know how that feels. [And then she's right back to grinning, just teasing him quietly. It's not like she wants to draw any attention toward them.]

Nah, popularity contests're boring. [He snickers.] You see what Fair and Aerith did to their kitchen?

[Yuffie blinks a little, turning her head in the general direction of the kitchen with a small frown.] Y-Yeah, disaster zone... [Except hers would probably look worse if her Weapons let her cook at all.

She sits straight again, fidgeting awkwardly for a moment.] And they didn't even make what I wanted!

I think they tried with the chicken, but somethin' tells me if they had actually cooked it, this party'd be in the hospital with food poisoning.

[Just quiet at first, then she finally looks over at him.] Yeah, never mind, I'm happier being alive. At least they didn't mess up with the drinks! And it's kinda fun...

[He smirks, scooting a little closer when no one's looking] I brought the booze, so of course they didn't mess that up. Hopefully it's enough to get those two idiots to stop beatin' around the fucking bush.

[He gestures to Zack and Aerith]

[Her eyes follow the movement to watch the SOLDIER and flower girl, squinting at the pair as if she's supposed to be able to see something.] They're still not..? [Then a heavy sigh.] I thought this party was kind of celebrating that they finally-- Gawd, they're slow!

You'd think they'd learn from... [oh, that's right, nobody knows about her and Reno. Never mind.] ... from watching movies or something.

Or, y'know, being twenty-somethings. [Reno snorts] How the hell has Fair not jumped her yet is what I wanna know. They're more virgin than you are.

[Yuffie spaz in there, two, one?]

[It's the color slowly creeping into her cheeks that gives her away first, then she swings a fist at his shoulder.]

I'm not--!! [And then, realizing she's shouting, she abruptly shuts up and pointedly turns away from him.] Somebody's gonna hear you, you dumb Turk.

[Reno dodges, snickering a little]

What? I didn't say anything no one doesn't already know, Kisaragi.

[wutaisrose]

You don't know that! [Glaring over her shoulder at him.] Maybe there's someone I'm seeing. Maybe I'm not as... you know, as you-- they think! [The better part of her mind realizes she's just arguing for the sake of arguing, but it makes her feel slightly better.]

[Ah, nothing quite like harassing the ninja]

Somethin' you ain't tellin' me, Kisaragi? I'm hurt.

[Sometimes she just wants to punch that look he can give her...]

Yeah! I've got a hot date coming over, [Even though this isn't her party, let alone her home.] and you're gonna scare him off. Shoo! [But even as she waves a hand at him, she's the one that's standing up but instead of moving away just sways on her feet and ungracefully flops back down.]

Brave enough to take a guy back to that crazy hot blonde Weapon of yours, are ya? [He snickers when she flops back down] Or is she gonna be out of the house?
