[Video] Lesson 3: When in America, do as the Americans do...or don't

Jan 03, 2011 01:00

[What's immediately obvious when this broadcast begins is that Katsura is outside somewhere during the afternoon and that he's apparently staring at the shopping mall for some reason, if you're familiar with that area. He starts to speak into the communicator soon after.]

Good afternoon, Death City. Tomorrow, many of you will have a chance to be part of something incredible. The joy of running into the hall with your date, the laughter you will share with your friends many years on as you remember how you all fought to get in line for the buffet, only to discover that ten other people were in front of you...these are memories that you must cherish forever, but certain rules must still be followed no matter how excited you are. If you have a date, you will stand by them for the duration of the event. You will not desert them because another person caught your eye, you must not admit that you only brought them there out of pity and you will not leave the party until your date wishes to leave. Ah, another thing...please refrain from injuring yourself by dancing and stretching your arms out for the punch. This is supposed to be a joyous occasion and you will only disappoint everyone if you are sent back to the hospital.

Moving on, I would like to address a perplexing issue that has been on my mind for some time now. [Katsura turns the communicator away from himself and focuses on the buildings...there's nothing unusual about them.] I would have thought that the Christmas decorations to celebrate Santa's arrival would have been set up and that there would be several Santas greeting the customers with calls of "Ho, ho ho, buy gifts to show how much you care!", but there doesn't seem to be any sign of him at all. There is a distinct lack of the holiday spirit within Death City and it worries me to see such apathy amongst its citizens. Why is Santa missing? Where are his elves and what are they doing, taking a vacation during this time of the year? This is unacceptable! Even if this is a different America than what I am used to, I cannot accept an America that does not respect the traditions of Christmas!

Ah, there is one more thing that I would like to say. In regards to this this poll, I'll require the assistance of one person to serve as the spokesperson for the moon. If you appreciate what the moon has done for you and you would like to show your support for him, please contact me and state your name. Thank you.
