  • BRIGHT red hair

I’ve dyed my hair again. It’s a beautiful dark (but very bright) red. Clearly out of a bottle. And very eye-catching.
I love it I love it I love it.

See more progress on: age disgracefully

  • Packaging up a parcel for my NSSVS, and also for R… I do hope they get there in time. Both have got a wee box of home-made biscuits, with the brightest of pink icing.
  • Getting an email from the Faculty saying they are going to sponsor us this year. And then speaking to my bro later, and he told me that their Treasurer said I had written a very ( Read more... )

  • Woo hoo - I’ve done 100 entries towards this goal (but a whole load of them were ages ago and I only re-started it about a month ago, and this time I am going to keep it up for a whole year)
  • I felt my old self being restored as various lovely people sent me hugs (after my recent LJ post)
  • Ooooh, more Woo hooo! My NSSVS package arrived this morning

  • The drive up from London to Edinburgh. The weather was perfect - sunshine and clouds, but no rain (and sun to the south and west of me, so not dazzling in my eyes). I listened to a mixture of Radio 4 and Rod Stewart’s greatest hits, and (being on my own) I sang along at the top of my voice. Altogether now…’If you think I’m sexy, and you want ma ( Read more... )

  • Going to our old osteopath. He’s such a star. And R was MUCH better when she’d seen him… and seemed to be cheered by the fact he said he’d never seen her back in such a bad way before.
  • Watching Apocalypto - great movie.
The rest of the day was rather over-shadowed by a miserable evening. I cried lots. R got angry with me because I was upset (and ( Read more... )

  • Online progress

Have started a book club in Edinburgh - now have 18 members signed up and there are more men than women. Can’t wait till the first meeting (which I will arragne as soon as I’m back home next week).
Have also been to a bookcrossing meeting. And am getting to know more bookcrossers online.
Can’t recall why I specifically wanted more female friends. ( Read more... )

  • Feeling good

    soulbalm Feb 09, 2007 21:06

The last few weeks have felt much better on this one. I still don’t have any scales with me though, so I don’t really know… but you know when your clothes just feel slightly looser and your body feels a little less, well just a little less than it did a few weeks ago.
Am intending to take the weighing scales back to Edin with me this time, so may ( Read more... )

  • Focus!

    soulbalm Feb 09, 2007 21:03

Running out of money before you are mid-way through the month helps to focus the mind on this one!
But the reason I’ve run out isn’t because I’ve been going mad and buying lots of unnecessary things, it’s because the car needed LOTS of work on it and has eaten up lots of money in the last two weeks.
And hey, with Valentiens coming up I’m boudn to ( Read more... )

  • Having breakfast in bed (until the orange juice got spilt all over the duvet)
  • Z (the cat) jumping onto the bed and then walking all the way up my body and standing on my chest just looking at me until I opened my eyes and said hello to him. He loves his morning cuddles.
  • Successful shopping trip at Bluewater - we bought exactly what we came for (plus ( Read more... )
