I am sitting in my office today, reeling from those attacks that happened in London.  I can't imagine if something like that happened here--the transportation system is key to the city.  It made me so upset, that I started bawling on the way to work (luckily I had my sunglasses on!).  Things like this just make me wonder why people think that ( Read more... )

So, Fuzzy and Alicia aren't coming down this weekend.  :(

It's Saturday.  I've never been so happy to just lie down and relax.  I had a brunch down by the Kennedy Center on the Potomac waterfront.  I just want to remember this feeling--peacefulness.  It rarely happens, but when it does, it makes everything else worth it. 

To be honest, I dont know if I'm severely disappointed or satisfyingly successful...or both.

It is HOT in Washington!  I want to do something fun, but I think I'm a little depressed, which is raining on my parade a little.  The reason I think this is because I'm tired all the time, and I keep being really negative when cognitively I know that things are good.   I hate that shit--whenever things are going bad I try to keep my spirits up, ( Read more... )

Apparently, internships take compromise...and patience.  I just feel like I'm doing a lot of busy work, although I know that it will pay off.  I hate starting a new job.  The first two weeks always suck.

Also, my roommates are kinda crazy.  They like to party a lot.  It is very remeniscent of Sophomore year at 705 12th St., which is a regression ( Read more... )

Now I'm in Washington DC, staying with my friend Maggie until I move to Georgetown campus tomorrow.  I'm taking classes there and I just got placed at an internship today, at Steptoe & Johnson, a major law firm in downtown DC.  Apparently they wanted me for my international interests/abilities.

I saw a man get hit today in the street.  It

happened in front of Crimson Cafe on University.

He was about 40, walked with a cane.

I heard he was drunk, talking about how he was a Vietnam

Vet and his 3 past back surgeries just 10 minutes before he got
