I realized earlier this week that Hellenic Festival/Pride weekend (they fall on the same weekend every year it seems) is one of my favorite times on the Buffalo calendar. I look forward to it like it's The Smiths v. The Cure, or a long weekend. More than anything -- Memorial Day, longer days, leaves on the trees -- it signals that SUMMER IS HERE

A friend of ours was out there at the Hellenic fest today - he actually lives down by Allentown. I want to check it out tomorrow. Parking and traffic are gonna be hell though!

I know what you mean. Those loukamades are addicting! I actually won't be at the pride parade for the first time in forever, and I'm feeling weird! I will be dining at the Hellenic festival tonight, though (it helps that I live right around the corner). Summer truly is here!
