I had noted the lack of arrivals; but I have not been here long and had assumed it was normal for people to not appear so regularly. Is this the first time such a thing has happened?

I've only been here for several months, but as far as I know, it had never happened before. No one seemed to know what was going on either.

This does not seem to be a good thing from what I've experienced. The breaking of such a pattern in my world always lead to destruction. [It was after all him breaking the Tenets of the Brotherhood and the pattern of behavior the Tenets lead to that caused so much pain and misfortune.]

Let's hope that it doesn't mean that. However, we should take note in case it happens again. Whether or not people arriving now is a good sign or whether it will return to its normal pattern is yet to be seen.

I'm not sure if "control" is the correct word, but I do believe it has some kind of affect on the dream energy. It reminds me of how the moon can affect the tides of the ocean. I'm not sure how similar that is, but it makes sense at the moment at least.

Unfortunately no. It seems no one had thought to keep a record of the events. However I have kept my own personal record since arriving into Somarium.

The only real "pattern" I could safely say is that during the full moon things nothing significant really happens, but during the new moon there is a higher rate of attacks and devastation. I think of it as a sort of "nightmare" influence, given the nature of this world.

The only anomaly to this pattern was back in June when we had a flood during the month of the full moon. [small pause as he thinks.] However that whole month was rather peculiar with the appearance of two strange apparitions...

That does seem to be logical conclusion. Especially after our dealings with that woman in the dreamscape.

I had heard of this flood, though I didn't know it lasted the entire month. [Thank Allah he wasn't here for that. He'd have not enjoyed that much water around.]

My apologies, I should have clarified. The flood lasted only a week, but it was during the week that the moon was full. It's usually during the weeks where the moon is either completely full or new that such occurrences happen.

As for the apparitions...yes, I suppose you could call them that. It's difficult for me to really say what exactly they were as they had no soul-at least none that I could detect.

You can detect souls? I have never encountered such an ability.
