I don't know if you guys have been keeping up, but there was a marriage proposal today on stuffonmycat.com. She said yes! Hooray to the world.

Ok, now, I'm off to drink some beer.

...AS A SINGLE GIRL IN AUSTIN.

Step one:
Work until 9pm.

Step two:
At 8.30pm, buy a bottle of champagne & put it in the cooler.

Step three:
Go home, drink champagne alone in a bubble bath.

That means it's bubble bath time. Jose Saramago is the only man for me, and I'm up for about 75 more pages of Blindness.

I got a Shot in the Dark in the Austin Chronicle. Just so you know, that's kind of like a printed Craig's list missed connection thing. In fact, Kevin called me last night to tell me about it, which made me laugh: it was a boy that works at Blockbuster, and I just got Netflix. I'll never see him again.

So it's been a productive morning. I've been up since 1am. In this time, I've written a five-page paper, made a delicious breakfast, took a shower, and wrote an awesome letter. Don't get all hot & bothered, it's to Mr. Jason Mraz. That's right. Fan letter time. It's pretty fun. I think it will be a fan-package, complete with some cookies, ( Read more... )

Some days I wake up and think:

"Man. My life is totally awesome."

And today sure is one of those days.

Note: the way to a man's heart is through pumpkin-flavored baked goods.

Note: the way to not get your studying done is to spend the evening watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Note: tofu + onions + mushrooms + spinach + hashbrowns = delicious.

Note: two cats cooperatively eat more cat food than twice the amount of just one. I have no idea
