I'm intensely jealous of all the university kids going off to classes every day.  I REALLY wish I was back in school.

But.

Money is nice too.  I can pay bills AND buy new pants when mine fall apart.  Imagine!

I haven't posted in forever.  Not that things are out-of-control busy or anything, but I've made some pretty major changes to the routine, and I guess a few things have been left out for a while.  Fredericton is refreshing, and when life's feeling slow and draggy, I can usually convince myself that the slower pace of business here is a good thing, ( Read more... )

We get on a plane at midnight, Monday.  Yesterday, we gave away basically all of our belongings.  I think our remaining stuff might fill five cubic feet of space.  It feels creepily awesome to know that you'll soon be carrying all of your earthly possessions (well, except for the two boxes we're shipping).

Till I get on a plane and get the hell outta here!  I wish we weren't taking the redeye, because it was pretty cool to see a couple thousand miles worth of Canada from above.  Niagra Falls looks pretty nuts from a plane, and I always forget that the Great Lakes really are that great, like oceans unto themselves.  I've always had a hard time ( Read more... )

I've booked our flights home.  I feel good about the whole thing.

Except packing.

Ughhhhhh.  I knew I couldn't make it an entire winter without catching a single cold.  My throat feels like I've been eating barbed wire, when in fact, all I've managed to eat in two days is three bowls of soup.  I don't even like soup.

Cold and sinus medicine is still fun, at least.

The sink works again.  Thank god.  I didn't realize how much it pissed me off to have to problem-solve while I try to make coffee in the morning ( Read more... )

I yelled at a girl in the mall yesterday.  She rammed me in the ribs with her big giant purse, and didn't so much as slow her pace, let alone apologize or say "excuse me" or anything.  It wasn't even a busy corridor.  UM PEOPLE.  IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO ALWAYS BE AN ASSHOLE ALL THE TIME.

Yes.  It is time to go home.
