Summer vacation 2006

I'm going on a cruise next month from New York to Halifax, then staying in New York for a couple of nights. It should be a good week. I've never been east of Quebec City, so this is going to be my first exposure to the Maritime provinces, albeit from the sea looking landward. In New York, I'm going to visit some sites I missed last year, like the

Cool... do you have any other ports, or just Halifax?
Maybe you'll see some whales.

There's also a stop in St Johns, New Brunswick. I'm sure it will be a beautiful journey at any rate, but whales would be a bonus!

F.A.O. Schwartz is even more impressive that Toys R Us.... imagine a large department store mostly for upscale toys. Of course, this is a memory of perhaps 30 years ago....

Have a few Snow Crabs while you're up there. At least, I think that is one of the prime Snow Crab harvesting areas of Canada. Have a great time, you've earned at least that through all your work!
