I brought home a mouse tonight that has about half its face torn off and a grape-sized tumor. She's a trooper, she's eating a lot and acting pretty perky, so send her pleasant thoughts or something. I'm taking her to the SPCA clinic tomorrow, and I hope I won't have to put her down.

So I went to see about a job at the pet shop and was told that they could really use an extra employee, but just didn't have the money to hire anyone. Since I am a sucker, I offered to work three afternoons a week pro bono, in exchange for an employee discount and getting to hang out with the animals. So that is the arrangement. Hooray, I'm...
