I miss having a partner in crime.

For every moment of greatness where I respond to the situation with complete brevity and clarity, I have a thousand moments before riddled with pitfalls, shortcomings and total loss of control.

I can also botch English language like no other. There's a big difference between calling a girl "cupcake" and calling her a cupcake.

You know, pretty soon more and more of our friends will be getting married and it won't seem like a stupid or a rash decision that's going to ruin their lives anymore. I have control over nothing. All I have is rage.

She's only mine for a couple days. By Friday I'll only know her by text messages and late night phone calls from across the country. I live an unforgiving lifestyle.

It seems If history tells me anything, it would be that I like things to be really, really, complicated, messy, and overall unpleasant.

Please, please, please let me get what I want. Lord knows, it would be the first time.

So I've been living in Gainesville for the past few weeks. I like it. It's not amazing or anything, but I enjoy the people and the places. Riding around on campus and having get-togethers on porches in the student ghetto. Going to shows with the crustiest of the crust. It's not a profound change for what I'm used to, but it's a good change of pace ( Read more... )
