It's been a crazy few days. Rupa and I have left our little footprints all over San Francisco proper. We've had a bloody brawl with the city, but came out victorious and tomorrow we officially have an apartment.

Man. The going away party was crazy. I got to spend a good amount of time with some of my absolute favorite Knoxvillians before descending into the depths of the most extreme alcoholic stupor I've ever experienced. My laptop died.

I was late on my second-half of November backup so I may lose my new portfolio, Rupa's web site, my portfolio grant submission site/essay for Academy of Art, countless paintings and text documents, all of the freelance work I just completed for Amazon, etc, etc, etc.

Just in time to totally screw me over. Thanks, HP.

It's so nice to be designing again. I had to work within the Amazon Webstore interface the last few weeks, and it was a real buttfuck. It's just not a development platform, so I spend all of my time "hacking" their CSS styles to accomplish even the most basic of layout functions. Think of it like being a Web designer who only does MySpace layouts. ( Read more... )
