I think by now everyone has seen the atrocious trailer for the US Life on Mars with the awful 70s porno music. And so just to remind us of how awesomely AWESOME the original was, here is a capspam of the very first episode from the first series!

Agreed! And, unfortunately, I'm not too optimistic about it not sucking. Because it's a remake, and most remakes are generally not as good as the original. Plus, it won't have any John Simm, and that definitely means it won't be as good as far as I'm concerned.

I've been wanting to rewatch the whole series lately. I will have to get to that soon because I love Sam Tyler more than I love most real people.

I've been meaning to rewatch the entire series as well. Thank goodness for British TV and their short seasons. LOL. Sam Tyler is basically awesome and badass. Hee, if Sam Tyler were a real person I am certain that the world would be a better place.

I know. :/ It is good, though, that it went out on top and didn't drone on like other shows do. Every episode was fantastic and that's what we will be able to remember about it. X)

Maybe that is the advantage with having only a handful episodes unlike American shows that will run for a standard 22-24 episodes per season. With shorter seasons you're able to make every single episode meaningful without having to put in "filler" episodes just to pad out the season.

*sigh* what a great show, and a great picspam too! The UK version is just so perfect. The concept, the acting, the storylines, the music it is all just amazing and all of this is so clear in the first episode. I think the first and the last were my two favorites, they both just blew me away with their perfection. Great picspam! And a great excuse to stare at John Simm all day!

Thank you! This is my first picspam and I might do more of Life on Mars. There are a couple of episodes that I just adore to pieces and I'm only sad that there were only ever 16 episodes. That's not even like a full season of American TV!
