I think by now everyone has seen the atrocious trailer for the US Life on Mars with the awful 70s porno music. And so just to remind us of how awesomely AWESOME the original was, here is a capspam of the very first episode from the first series!

I really need to check out Ashes to Ashes. I love Gene Hunt and I think Philip Glenister is ace.

I &hearts this show SO MUCH. I saw the 1st trailer for the US one the other day and man...I hope it bombs. It's almost like it's a parody of itself. Is that rude of me to say? lol
Anyway, this is such a brilliant show, I loved it all. (And this picspam. ^_^)

I hate saying this, but I hope that the US version bombs as well. I still don't understand why they would mess around with a TV show that was already so perfect!

I don't get it either! I just figure they're fresh out of new (and good) ideas so they gotta steal them from somewhere else. XD (I mean, obviously, look at the obscene amounts of reality shows that pop up every year. lol)

Ah thanks! I love Chris, too. He was a great character, too. Have you seen "Ashes to Ashes" as well? You can see a lot of Sam's influence on him throughout that series as well. It's kinda awesome. hehe

I have the first episode of AtA downloaded so I fully intend on watching it today. I love Chris so much. Maybe I'll do a picspam of the first episode depending on how much I like it. :)

Not yet - I'm a bit wary of it due to its lack of John Simm. I think i'd just compare whats-her-face to him, and be sad. :S

Thank you for this picspam. After seeing the trailer for the US version, I definitely needed it. The trailer is awful. I kept comparing it to the first time I saw a trailer for the original and how enthralled I was. Compared to how horrified I was with the US version.
I'm thinking it's going to suck big time. Though I suppose we could be surprised?

See, I know Colm Meany and Jason O'Mara are very good actors but I am still curious to see how they will pull off an American Life on Mars. I may give it a chance but I think I might just re-watch episodes of the original instead. :)
