Well, last night I finished The Amalgamation Polka, a remarkable novel by Stephen Wright, and I've been digesting it for a day. Another day done, another week gone. Hurrah. This weekend promises an excellent CSO concert (Verdi's Requiem). Hopefuly weather will cooperate with yardwork as well. I will try to write some more, perhaps get in a drawing or two (if I'm lucky). Who knows? More soon (hopefully!)

Excellent evening. Much housework done (all to the good) and an *astonishing* movie watched. A History of Violence. I can say without hesitation that this is the best film that I've seen in over a year. It embraces ideas that I am, admittedly, somewhat obsessed with.
