I just finished reading the third book in the Twilight series.  I'm going to get seriously shunned for saying this, esepcially with how amazingly pro-Twilight and yay!Twilight my flist has been over the past year, but... really?  Really?  I don't think these books are for me.

I'm also not a fan of the books, but want to read the final one so I can close the whole thing out. So far, I've like the third book the least and I find Bella to be annoying at best.

Like you I'll probably see the movie, just because Robert is hawt.

Heh, no worries, darling, I've heard lots of similar complaints from some people on my flist too, so you're still in pretty good company. I guess different things just appeal to us in different ways! :)

That was pretty much my reaction to the series when I first read it. I was really disappointed too because I'd heard such good things from the flist. I don't really want to read the fourth book after reading the spoilers but I probably will eventually. And I know I'm going to end up watching the movie just because RPatzz is so very fine and I kinda hate myself for it but what are you gonna do ;P

I'm glad to see that someone who has read the books agrees with me that the characterizations are flimsy and the plot is insufficiently existent. I have not read them, and listening to the witty barbs of people who have that didn't like them and the comments of those who have and did like them, those were the conclusions that I came to.

Just so you don't think I'm some creepy person coming out of nowhere, you talked to my close friend tonight. To further clarify that I am not a creepy person, she told me she mentioned me to you, which is how I know you spoke with her; I am the person she met at Terminus after three years of talking online.
