Fred (our newly adopted black cat who I've yet to mention on LJ) has been with us for two months. Today we headed out to Pets At Home, and bought him a whole pile of toys: a tube to hide in, a very crinkly cow, two new litter trays, and a cat pheromone device. I'm giving a talk at the EWDA (European Wildlife Disease Association) 2014 conference today. I took out all the maths, but it turns out that there's a much bigger modelling presence... but it's too late to put it back in (especially as I'm already hovering around 15 minutes for a 15 minute slot). So May has started, which means hay-fever and sunburn are just round the corner. Jules and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on the 1st (wow, how time flies), and I got her a wooden music box. Yesterday, I going to have my memory tested by a guy in informatics, who wanted to see if there was a correlation between ability to solve a Rubik's Cube, and spatial memory. Just a note to say that on 2012-01-09 (9 Jan), I solved a 7x7x7 Rubik's Cube, without assistance. It took about an hour.

Next step is to learn the extra steps needed to solve an even cube, and bring my time down.
