Re: Your Brains

El Conejo sent me the link to this song today: RE: Your Brains. The artist is formerly of They Might Be Giants so brilliance isn't really unexpected. Plus, The song's about zombies and biz-speak jargon. Awesomesauce.

Edit: So, not in any way related to TMBG, except that he sounds an awful lot like them and is very clever. Still: funneh!

Jonathan Coulton is amazing and hysterically funny. However, he is neither John Flansburgh nor John Linnell of TMBG fame. As far as I can discern, he has never played with TMBG, despite some similarities in the kinds of topics they choose for songs.

Coulton also wrote the ending song for Portal, which is roll-on-the-floor material if you've played the game, and pretty good anyway. Google for "Still Alive" if you want to listen to it. (The actual song is performed by the voice talent who did the voice of the psychopathic computer in the game, although there are some recordings of Jon himself singing it floating around.)

Ack! Well, that's what I get for not looking stuff up. :) Thanks for settin me straight. I've just discovered his Thing a Day, and they're really excellent, even the not-so-funny ones.

Nope that was my fault.

I blame lightly skimming Pandora's link while at work (http://www.pandora.com/music/artist/jonathan+coulton)

But really he does have that Giant sound going for him.
