I was able to get something accomplished today.  The rain is actually a help to me.  And I think I've figured out how to secure my journal.

I found a dish in the back room.  I've left it outside to collect the rain, and it should be full soon.  With the proper spells, it should be a very serviceable water mirror.

I am interested in your offering me a lesson. However, I could not accept something from you without offering something in return. It's how I am forced to work. I would prefer to deal with you in person, if you wish. I do not trust these computers.

Not exactly forced, perhaps. It's...an agreement I made when I began my current profession. You see, I can do things for you. But only if you are able to pay me a sufficient price. Reasonable, equitable, fair. I do not like having myself in debt to anyone. You may be familiar with the bar. I was surprised to find that the owner employs a similar system to mine.

Excellent. Now we know we are in a world that not only has no visible door, but also runs in time much faster when put parallel to our own world.
