Mail?  How did I receive something like that when I've only been here a few minutes?  Hm.  At every computer terminal, there is a place to write a journal.  And this was already set up for me.  How strange.  Why would a teahouse as traditional as this have a computer anyway?  Maya will be in here in a second, since I just made sure that it was safe

I am a dealer in wishes. One of the wishes I often get is the ability to travel between worlds. So far, only one person has been able to pay me enough to allow this wish to be granted. But I know many people, on many worlds, and they know me. Maya is not from this world, and I am not either. I did not send either of us here. It follows that something else did. And I would like to know what that something is.

I wasn't planning on working at all while I was here, but if there are people such as yourself who are interested... I'll have to find out more about this place and find a safe area to set up shop first. This tea house I am in has a computer, and it seems relatively sound. If it turns out I am forced to stay here long term, it will probably be here.

It depends on the wish really. Sometimes its a simple thing, like an old ring with some sentimental value. Sometimes its a soul, so to speak. Every wish has its own price and that price is paid exactly, no more, no less.
