Today I was formally introduced to David Kaczynski, as he needed my help printing a Word document (a grant for funding for New Yorkers Against the Death Penalty). He works as the executive director of said organization, and he is in the office down the hall from mine. He's very nice and "normal", but was an odd experience for me ( Read more... )

So I finished my first week at Catholic Charities. I'm having a fantastic time so far! There is a lot of work to be done but I'm up for it. I love it so far. My boss is the Bishop of Albany. How cool is that?

So Chris and I were approved to be foster cat parents! I picked up our first little bundle of joy last night from the humane society. A stray that was picked up and found already neutered, so he was a pet at some point. He is an adult orange short hair named Carrot Top. Chris and I, on our nightly quest for dinner, came across a man carrying a gas can across a Pizzeria Uno's parking lot. We decided that this was the reason we couldn't figure out where to eat in the first place. So I rolled down the window and asked the guy if he needed a ride.
