that screaming lady on grey's anatomy was unfathomably annoying

My lj writing is slipping, and I fear that it will soon discontinue again for a long stretch of time. I started with good intentions, but my standard workweek is starting to take its toll. In fact, all tasks save running, lifting and grocery shopping seem to be falling by the wayside. If at any time during the week I think of something that I ( Read more... )

Your scale is rather precise.

A gain of .8 pounds could just be whether you have taken a shit that day or not, or if you just ate lunch.

Yes, but Brian, Jon, and I already discussed this fact last week. To best measure my weight, I am only weighing in on Sunday mornings after waking up and going to the bathroom. This still isn't completely accurate of course, but it will suffice.

And my scale is accurate to the fifth of a pound.

It became "code black" once they found out that a patient that they were about to surgically operate on had a live bazooka round in his chest. They actually did not conclude this whole ordeal, so you could catch the finishing act next week if you wanted. That girl is finally done screaming now.

Where are your decent posts, slackface?

I am going to call Brian this Friday/Saturday to discuss our options. Hopefully we will decide something then.

Green tea is a decent way to stem the hunger... remember you mainly want to gain muscle mass.

I have no difficulty pushing through the hunger, I would just prefer to consume as many calories as possible to facilitate weight gain. Yes, ultimately I want to gain muscle mass, but it will be easier and quicker to just gain muscle and fat together for now. Later, I can diet to lose any excess fat I may not want.

yeah. i did watch it. i'm a grey's fanatic. izzy, oh goodness. i could spread her on a cracker. but wasn't it hilarious when alex screamed right back at her?

i didn't like how they put meredith with the bomb at the end though... because we all know they're not gonna kill her off. it would have been more suspenseful if they kept christina ricci's character with the bomb.

I find myself hitting the same kind of motivational walls. In college I had all this free time. But when you work 8 hours everyday it leave little to work with. I try and give myself one slack day a week were I do nothing but sit, watch TV, and eat. This way when that day is over I feel so bad that I slacked off that it motivates me to put forth some real effort. Of course that is really only in terms of working out. As for work, there will always be the slack factor playing its role. As for foods, I would first say get a rice cooker and some rice. Its so easy to make, and gives you a lot of good food. Other things I like are yogurt, frozen fruit, pretzels, popcorn. They are all easy to eat/make, and provide a good source of carbs. I sometimes eat carrots if I'm feeling really healthy. If you are running that much you need to pack on the calories to counteract what you burn while running.

I really should get a rice cooker! I loved mooching off of Brian's our senior year at Purdue. So tasty.

Frozen fruit? That sounds weird. Carrots are a good idea which I had not thought of yet. I definitely need to try and eat more vegetables.

I started eating nuts to try and pack on the calories and healthy fats, but I may be allergic to them. See today's post (if I make it) for more information.
